Tanishq Launches The Ganga Collection

Posted on 21st Jun 2012 @ 10:42 AM

Indian jewelry retail major Tanishq today launched a new collection aimed at “the progressive Indian woman”. Named the Ganga after the river that is revered in India, the line is fabricated in 18-karat white gold and set with diamonds and uncut colored gemstones.

It is priced from $625 (Rs.35,000) upward and available at Tanishq outlets across the country.

According to Sandeep Kulhalli, Tanishq Vice President for Retail & Marketing, the collection is aimed at making the jewelry segment “more innovative” and to “differentiate collections on the basis of parameters like design and materials.”

Tanishq says the design of the collection reflects the many moods of the river, ranging from foaming “fury” as it rushes down the Himalayas, through a more sedate flow that further slows to show a calm surface and finally the mixing of waters at the famous confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers.
